We are proud to have been featured in Posidonia Today, the official daily newspaper of Posidonia 2026, where we introduced Aderco 2055G+, our industry-first programme that combines fuel treatment, verified performance monitoring, and voluntary carbon credits to help shipowners unlock measurable financial value from emissions reductions.
Advanced fuel additive technology specialist, Aderco, has formally launched 2055G+, an industry-first programme designed to drive verified ship emissions reductions and deliver measurable financial returns for vessels operating on conventional marine fuels.
The solution addresses key challenges in performance monitoring for greater sustainability, including fuel price volatility, the IMO Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), and EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) requirements, while ensuring that emissions claims are supported by verifiable data.
Based on more than 100 ships already enrolled in the 2055G+ programme, fuel savings have ranged between 2% and 5%, including two independently verified by classification societies: ABS (Reefer – 4.84%) and RINA (Capesize – 3.25%).
As environmental regulations continue to evolve, ship operators, managers, and charterers face increasing pressure to demonstrate genuine emissions reductions while navigating the complexities of carbon credit generation. Transparency and independently verified data are essential to establishing credibility for carbon credit methodologies within the maritime industry.
The comprehensive 2055G+ solution provides a streamlined methodology covering the full process, from reducing carbon emissions and verifying performance data to generating revenue through Voluntary Carbon Credits issued under Gold Standard methodologies.
